Scheana Shay tried to encourage Tom Sandoval to 'genuinely apologize' to his ex-Ariana Madix on Tuesday's episode of Vanderpump Rules on Bravo.

'If he could genuinely apologize, maybe there's some hope in this group of moving forward one day,' Scheana, 38, said in a confessional.

Scheana said at the end of the day Ariana just wanted their relationship to work and that's why they bought a house together. She asked Sandoval, 41, how he felt about Ariana's new boyfriend Daniel Wai being with the group.

'Honestly when I found out I was like that's really good, I was always worried about her, mentally with this whole situation,' Sandoval said.

'I know she has a very strong no-contact policy even though you guys are in the same house, there's that whole thing,' Scheana said. 'But I also know that things that you have said about her and her mental health and things that maybe she didn't want public — is that something you could actually apologize for weaponizing?'

Flashbacks showed Sandoval telling Scheana that Ariana threatened to kill herself if he broke up with her and Ariana telling Scheana that Sandoval has never apologized.

'I'm just asking if you could say, "You know what? Maybe I shouldn't have said that to deflect from my actions and make an excuse for it." When at the end of the day, she just wanted to make it work. She didn't freeze her eggs just for herself. She didn't go to couples therapy just for herself. She didn't buy a house just for herself,' Scheana said.

'She did all of these things to build a life with you, and that's it. There's literally nothing that you need to say back to that. Just think about what I said. That's all. I don't want you to even respond to me, I just want you to think about that tonight. That's all,' Scheana said.

'Me explaining where I was emotionally and mentally has come across as blaming Ariana,' Sandoval said in a confessional. 'I'm not. I screwed up. And no matter how our relationship went south in ways, she didn't deserve that.'

Sandoval and Scheana hugged it out as the episode ended and he thanked her for being there for him. 

When the season 11 episode titled For Old Tom's Sake opened, Tom's former assistant Ann was working at Katie Maloney, 37, and Ariana's sandwich shop Something About Her. 

Lisa Vanderpump, 63, stopped by to see when they were going to open the sandwich shop. They told Lisa they were having issues with the woman Penny they had brought on to help with their business.

'I worry if they part ways with Penny their restaurant will just never open,' Lisa said in a confessional.

Sandoval, 41, was asked by Scheana how he felt about Ariana's new boyfriend Daniel Wai being with the group.

Tom and and Scheana went to Kyle Chan's shop to discuss their planned gig at Kyle's launch party in San Francisco. Kyle told them both he was worried about their strained relationship.

'I want things to be good with us,' Sandoval said.

'You're the only person who's always had my back from day one,' Scheana said. 'I don't forget that. That's what made it so hard because I had to choose a side. And she didn't do anything wrong.'

'But I don't understand why there has to be a line drawn in the sand like that,' Sandoval said. 'Relationships never end well.'

'I'm not saying you guys should forgive him, that is totally your choice, but don't continue to torture him that way,' Kyle said.

'I don't hate you. I miss you,' Scheana told Sandoval.

'I miss you too,' Sandoval said.

While they were still in Kyle's shop, Lala Kent made a video call to Sandoval to make sure he wasn't going to come to her 33rd birthday party.

'I'm used to it,' Sandoval said after he got off the call.

Later that night at Lala's birthday party, Lala asked Scheana why she was with Sandoval earlier in the day. Scheana said they were going over the performance for San Francisco. Scheana said Sandoval apologized and that they both admitted that they missed each other.

'Pathetic,' Ariana, 38, said.

'What is going on?' Ariana said in a confessional. 'It honestly makes me feel as if I'm being gaslighted as if what happened was not clear as f***ing day.'

Later, Ariana went out to dinner with her new boyfriend Daniel.

'I've never been in a long distance relationship,' Ariana said in a confessional.

She told Dan that Sandoval was going on the trip.

'Awkward,' Dan said.

Ariana asked Dan about moving to Los Angeles.

'We got to talk about that,' Dan said.

Sandoval had a gig with his band at the El Rey Theatre. James Kennedy came and they met backstage. Jo Van Fleet, 25, was also in the audience.

'People are throwing their hands up in the air instead of throwing things at me,' Sandoval said in a confessional, pleased with the fans' reaction to him.

Schwartz asked Jo to go outside and talk. He told her he was glad she was coming on the San Francisco trip. Schwartz screamed that they were just friends but that they were going to get married in eight years.

'Schwartz just gives me whiplash and it's frustrating,' Jo said in a confessional.

The next day everyone met at the airport for the flight to San Francisco.

'My first impression of Dan, let me put it this way, you can tell me he's a great guy all the livelong day,' Lala said. 'I think it's f***ing weird that any dude would be like, ''She's the one. Just left her man of 10 f***ing years, and they still live together,'' I'm sorry. Something seems off. Right?'

Sandoval got on the plane and Ariana's boyfriend Dan turned his head to ignore him. After the flight, the group checked into a hotel. Schwartz went to Sandoval's room and asked if he met Dan.

'Not officially no,' Sandoval said. 'I should probably give the lowdown like Ariana did to Tii.'

The group then went on a boat ride, but Dan stayed behind at the hotel and said he was going to meet up with a friend instead. Schwartz told Sandoval he was ready to commit to being his roommate. The boat was called 'wine therapy' and they all toasted when they got onboard.

The water in the bay was rough.

'I feel like I'm on the Titanic,' Lala said, holding the side of the boat.

'Oh my God, I don't like this at all,' Ariana said.

'My one phobia, my one fear is waves,' Ariana said in a confessional. 'I cannot die on this tiny boat with my ex.'

When they got off the boat, Brock asked Ariana how it was with Sandoval on the cruise.

'He's like scenery at this point,' Ariana said. 'I didn't really realize he was there.'

Back at the hotel, the group got ready for Brock Davies's 1920's party. Lala went to Ariana's room and asked Dan what he would do if Sandoval came up to him and said hi.

'He hasn't done anything to me but I know what he's done, so,' Dan said.

'You got a good body,' Lala said. 'Do you work out?'

'Sometimes,' Dan joked.

James Kennedy, 32, pointed out that Ariana and Sandoval were wearing the same shoes. Schwartz then told Katie he had a crazy idea.

When they got off the boat, Brock asked Ariana how it was with Sandoval on the cruise

Lala went to Ariana's room and asked Dan what he would do if Sandoval came up to him and said hi

'You got a good body,' Lala said. 'Do you work out?'

'I know we're divorced but there are certain elements I miss,' Schwartz said. 'I was thinking just like maybe one last time, tonight, me and you, one-night stand.'

'No,' Katie said.

'Katie, listen, go back to my room, hear me out,' Schwartz said. 'We're going to order $150 minimum, junk food. We are going to scroll aimlessly, and we're not going to talk at all, just like we used to. That's our thing.'

'No,' Katie said. 'I don't want that.'

'I feel like Tom is going to wake up five or six yeas and realize that I was the one that got away,' Katie said.

'I don't know, I think maybe I'm getting a little sentimental,' Schwartz said. 'I always miss the best parts of us.'
